Our highly trained laser therapists employ concentrated light to inhibit the growth of body hair. Treatment involves application of an intensely focused, long pulse light to unwanted hair. The light pulse targets melanin in the hair, not the skin. The light pulse travels to the hair root where it damages the hair follicle and prevents future growth.

  • Permanent hair reduction
  • Smoother, silky skin
  • Reduction of ingrown hairs
  • Suitable on all skin tones
  • Affordable and convenient
  • Requires minimal to no maintenance after the recommended course of treatments

Laser hair removal is the fastest, most affordable and effective method for permanent hair reduction and can require little or no maintenance after the recommended course of treatments. Alternative methods of hair removal are temporary requiring regular monthly or six weekly treatments.

Laser hair removal provides seventy to ninety percent permanent reduction of unwanted hair. Skin type, skin colour and hormones are factors which may influence hair regrowth.

Several treatments may be required to disable all hair follicles because hairs enter the growth cycle at different times.

MySkin Clinics assist clients eliminate unwanted hair from almost every part of the body. Clients can request a list of treatment areas from our trained Skin therapists by calling 03 9111 0099 or emailing their nearest MySkin Clinic.

MySkin Clinics lasers include a Dynamic Cooling Device providing a constant burst of cold air before, during and after the laser pulse. The cooling effect renders hair removal treatment virtually painless. Clients report the sensation similar to that of an elastic band snapping against the skin. Due to individual differences in pain thresholds, a topical anaesthetic can be applied if preferred for your comfort.

MySkin Clinics do not treat clients who may be trying to conceive, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Laser hair removal has not been proven to be damaging to pregnant or lactating mothers or their children, however we recommend delaying treatment during these periods.

Treatments are rarely affected by medication. Exceptions include medications which affect the skin’s sensitivity to light or alter skin pigmentation. For example, Roaccutane should be ceased six months prior to treatment and Retin-A should be ceased at least two to four weeks prior to treatment.

Individual skin tones may require different laser technology. MySkin Clinics employ world leading medical grade laser technology, Candela GentleLase Pro and GentleYag Pro to treat our clients’ individual skin tones for effective results.

To ensure maximum safety and effectiveness our highly trained therapists require a thorough understanding of your concerns, expectations, skin type, hair colour and medical history.

Depending on your hair and skin type and the area being treated, you will usually require treatments at 4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growing cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment. However at least 10 treatments are required for a permanent result.

Our Signature Facial – Glow Getter Facial, combines a cocktail of blueberry extracts and lactic acid to mechanically exfoliate the skin, followed by our deluxe antioxidant peel. Treatment is finished off with LED light therapy for a healthy, long lasting glow.

LED Light Therapy is a pain-free, non-invasive, soothing and rejuvenating skin treatment. This treatment will help treat acne breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles, post inflammatory scarring and rosacea. It will not only help minimise acne, but also soothe your skin and reduce both redness and inflammation.

Mechanical exfoliation gently sloughs away dead skin cells from skin’s surface through motion rather than by employing the use of chemicals (for example acid).

Vitamin Therapy is one of the most effective treatments for enhancing the penetration of vitamins into the skin. MySkin Clinics uses Sonophoresis and pulsed Iontophoresis to deliver peptides, growth factors and antioxidants into the deeper layers of the skin. The result is visibly fresher, more hydrated, younger looking skin. Treatment also helps stimulate collagen production to improve elasticity and firm the skin.

Iontophoresis involves the use of an electrical current to facilitate greater penetration of vitamins into the skin. With conventional iontophoresis, changes are slower, whereas with MySkin Clinics advanced skin technology, you will notice that the skin looks younger, softer and plump within two or three treatments.

Sonophoresis involves the use of sound waves to transport vitamin molecules through the skin. The sound used is the same as the sound made by dolphins, which produces better penetration through the skin than conventional ultrasound.

We recommend treatment at least once a week. A minimum of twenty-four treatments is recommended to achieve the desired results. Thereafter, we recommend clients have one treatment a month with an occasional booster course of one per week.

Treatment benefits people with uneven pigmentation, age spots, freckles and sun damaged skin. Final results and number of treatments required are dependent upon skin type. Clients with lighter skin tone normally achieve faster results. Darker skin tones may require a lower frequency light wave and require more sessions to achieve the best results. Tanned clients must wait until their tans have faded before undergoing treatment.

MySkin Clinics use medical grade lasers that operate by using an intense burst of light to target the pigmented lesions, while leaving normal surrounding skin unaffected. Spots gradually fade after each treatment, as a result of new collagen formation at the treated site. This leaves the skin tone more even, refreshed and rejuvenated.

The commonly treated areas include those most frequently exposed to sunlight. For example, the face, neck, décolletage, shoulders and hands.

Treatment times vary between 15 – 30 minutes depending upon the type of pigmentation and size of the area being treated. For optimum results MySkin Clinics suggest four to six treatments which produces a 70% improvement for most clients.

At MySkin Clinics, we suggest between four to six treatments.  For most clients, this produces a 70% improvement in pigmentation appearance.

Side effects of laser pigmentation reduction are mild. Slight redness and/or crusting may occur following treatment. This effect generally subsides within 24 hours when appropriate after care treatment is followed.

Clinical peels are an excellent treatment option for the following skin concerns;

  • Fine lines
  • Established wrinkles
  • Acne
  • Scarring
  • Large pores
  • Sun damage
  • Pigmentation

Clinical peels vary in strength depending on skin types and individual problems. Stronger peels provide greater benefit however may require a longer recovery time. Clinical Peels utilize exfoliating agents sloughing off dead skin cells which are peeled away revealing fresher, unblocked, newly hydrated layers of skin. Clinical Peels stimulate regeneration and resurfacing of the skin for hands, face and neck. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our qualified therapists who will create an personalised treatment plan according to your skin needs. A course of peels two to six weeks apart is recommended for optimum results.

Clinical Peels are painless, fast and effective treatments requiring approximately 30-45 minutes, and may be completed during a lunch break.

The concept of Microneedling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself. Microneedling works by creating micro-injuries to the skin which trigger new collagen production and cell multiplication, without permanent scarring. The result is smoother, younger looking skin. This highly effective treatment addresses acne scarring, melasma, visible signs of ageing, uneven skin tone and pigmentation.

SkinPen Microneedling uses a medically advanced SkinPen device for effective collagen induction therapy. This treatment harnesses the body’s natural wound healing response through collagen remodelling to smooth the skin and significantly improve skin tone and texture. Unlike other needling treatments, SkinPen is a safer, more medically advanced Microneedling treatment producing more dramatic results with less downtime.

Benefits for SkinPen Microneedling;

  • Reduces acne scarring and surgical scars
  • Treats melasma and pigmentation and age spots
  • Stimulates cell multiplication and collagen production
  • Improves skin tone and texture
  • Minimal down-time required following treatment
  • Effectively treats visible signs of ageing
  • Suitable for all skin types and tones, including sensitive skins and acne prone.

For best results you will need a course of 6 treatments, 2 – 6 weeks apart. Our experienced skin therapists create a personalised treatment plan that’s right for you during your skin consultation.

There is minimal downtime after a Microneedling treatment. Following a SkinPen treatment, you might have some slight tingling or redness. This will subside within 24-48 hours. During and at the end of your course of treatments, you will notice significant improvements in skin tone and texture.

This procedure involves the use of a small blade that works by safely removing dead skin cells and fine hair on the surface of the skin, revealing fresher, brighter skin beneath. Dermablading is performed on the face and helps skin care products penetrate the skin better and aids the smooth application of makeup.

Benefits of Dermablading include;

  • Removing dead skin cells and ‘peach fuzz’ from the surface of the skin
  • Revealing fresher, smoother, radiant skin underneath
  • Better penetration of skin care products
  • Flawless application of makeup
  • Suitable for ageing, dull and sensitive skin types
  • Safe treatment to have during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

After treatment, the skin feels smooth, soft and hydrated with no severe redness or downtime.

Approximately 45-50 minutes for effective results.

No. This procedure can be carried out in a lunch hour allowing you to get straight back to the day’s activities, with no down time at all. Treatment is painless and time effective.

Following the treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink, dependant on how sensitive your skin is. This is a result of increased circulation in this area and usually fades away quite quickly.

The number of treatments depends on your skin’s condition and the results you want to achieve. We recommend having this treatment at a 2 to 4 week interval to maintain skin clarity and vellus hair.

Yes. The best feature of Dermablading is that it enhances the results of other skin treatments such as Clinical Peels and Anti-wrinkle injections.

A full face treatment can take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Clients describe the feeling as a tingling sensation. Very sensitive skins may require a topical cream to reduce sensation.

Yes. In the hands of our highly trained and experienced skin therapists, the lasers using photo-acoustic energy are safe and suitable for all skin colours and tanned skin.

A mild to moderate redness may occur and should fade within an hour of treatment. No specific post care is required for this treatment, however your therapist will advise avoidance of sun exposure and which products to use.

Non-ablative skin rejuvenation is a gradual process and typically clients require four to six treatments spaced one to four weeks apart. Many clients schedule ongoing treatments on a one to three month plan as part of their normal skin care routine.

Capillaries are the tiny blood vessels just below the surface of the skin. They are extremely fragile, easily damaged and, until recently, difficult to repair.  As we age, they sometimes appear around the nose, cheeks and chin.  Whether caused by heredity or excessive exposure to sun and wind, their appearance can be aggravated by environmental factors such as spicy food or exercise, or by emotional responses.

Heat from the laser, applied directly to the affected area, breaks down the already damaged walls of the capillaries, causing them to collapse in on themselves.  The destroyed capillaries are then reabsorbed by the body, disappearing entirely.  The laser affects only the red area, leaving normal surrounding tissue unaffected.

1-4 treatments may be required depending on client requirements.

Clients report this treatment as relatively pain free according to individual pain thresholds. It has been described as feeling like an elastic band snapping against the skin. This non-invasive, safe treatment may induce some redness for a day and/or some minor swelling for up to three days.

Generally, no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Application of a breathable mineral camouflage will seal the skin and cover any redness for an immediate return to work.

The sensation is comparable to a standard microdermabrasion and there is no need for any anaesthesia.

Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will become visible after 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post treatment care.

While there is no clinical evidence that Microdermabrasion treatments counteract with any particular injectables, it is important to let your skin therapist know if you have had an injectables treatment, or are planning on having one done in the near future. Your skin therapist will be able to advise you on when to schedule your treatment appropriately.

Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology is the application of light energy to the body for therapeutic benefits. It promotes a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen — the foundation of healthy, smooth skin. Research has shown that LED light therapy may help smooth skin texture, improve skin firmness and resilience, increase lymphatic system activity, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation. The treatment is for all skin types, and is non-ablative, non-invasive, painless, and requires absolutely no downtime. Patients or clients can return to their normal activity immediately after the treatment.

Depending on your skin concerns/condition and personalised treatment plan, we recommend up to 10 treatments or more, each spaced a week apart for optimum results.

There is no downtime following our LED Light Therapy treatments.

No. Light therapy is non-invasive and is painless when used as intended.

Thirty (30) minutes.

LED devices are considered extremely low risk when used as intended.

Anti-wrinkle injections are ideal for minimising frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines, resulting in younger looking skin on the face or neckline. Because they are muscle relaxants, the injections offer the additional benefit of preventing further wrinkles caused by repetitive gestures, such as smiling, frowning or laughing.

A very fine needle containing a muscle relaxant, made from natural, purified protein, is administered into the treatment area. This relaxes the selected muscles that cause wrinkles to develop. As the muscle relaxes, the overlying skin smoothens, causing the lines and wrinkles to soften or disappear, and prevents new lines from developing.

Treatment usually takes 15 minutes or more, depending on how many areas are being treated.

Changes in skin appearance take approximately 3-5 days with visible results seen usually 10 days following treatment. The effects of Anti-wrinkle injections last approximately four months and tend to last longer with further treatments.

There is no down time after treatment and you will be able to wear makeup and return to work immediately after your appointment without anyone noticing you have had something done.

On rare occasion, side effects such as slight nausea, headache, temporary redness and/or swelling or mild bruising may appear on the injection area. Please note that side effects are both very rare and temporary. Any risks are discussed in detail with our Doctors and Registered Nurses during your consultation appointment. We recommend coming in for a follow up consultation with our Registered Nurses if you have any concerns.

Anti-wrinkle treatments may be safely combined dermal filler application to achieve transformational results. You can also have skin treatments after a recommended amount of time advised by your Registered Nurse depending on the Injectables treatment performed.

Wrinkle reduction treatments are sold by unit with the cost dependent upon number of units required for treatment, as each individual is different. Treatment starts at $4.95 per unit.

A consultation with our Registered Nurses is required prior to treatment. Call 03 9111 0099 or email your nearest clinic to book a consultation.

Dermal fillers are injectable gels that restore volume to areas of the face. Many contain a substance that replicates the actions of a naturally occurring sugar molecule, attracting and holding water to assist with skin hydration. The products can be placed below the skin’s surface to provide more youthful contours and smoother skin.

Dermal fillers contain a natural sugar molecule that assists in the firmness, hydration and smoothness of the skin by

providing a supporting network for important structural tissue, filling any wrinkles and hollow areas.

Dermal fillers help to restore lost volume, reduce depth of lines, improve the size and shape of the lips and redefine the natural curves of the face for a fresher, natural-looking appearance.

MySkin Clinics use dermal fillers to;

  • Restore volume loss to the cheeks
  • Add fullness and definition to the lips
  • Soften marionette lines and nasolabial folds
  • Enhance the shape of the jawline and chin
  • Reduce fine vertical lines
  • Facial contouring for a more even, symmetrical profile

MySkin Clinics use world-class, industry leading products for dermal filler treatments. Brand names for prescription medicines cannot be listed for legal reasons. Our experienced Doctors and Registered Nurses will discuss the product options available to you during your consultation at your nearest MySkin Clinic.

Our Registered Nurses administer dermal filler injections on the treatment area where they produce a lift and give firmness. Depending upon the area being treated, a local anaesthetic may be used to alleviate discomfort.

On rare occasion, side effects may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness. These will disappear within a few days following the procedure. Any risks are discussed in detail with our Doctors and Registered Nurses during your consultation appointment. We recommend coming in for a follow up consultation with our Registered Nurses if you have any concerns.

A dermal filler treatment usually takes 30-60 minutes, depending upon the number of areas being treated.

Results may last 6-12 months depending on the treatment area. Top up treatments will be required to maintain results.

Hyperhidrosis is an excessive perspiration condition, typically affecting the underarms, hands, feet, scalp, face, and even all over the body. The cause is unknown but it can be an indication of a serious, underlying medical condition and may recommend that you see your GP.

Anti-wrinkle injections can help control the symptoms of hyperhidrosis by blocking the neural signals that stimulate activity in the sweat glands.

Our Registered Nurses administer a number of small injections to the treatment areas to help block the signal from the brain to the sweat glands that instructs them to produce sweat. Results may be seen within four to ten days and last up to 9 months. Maintenance treatments should be delivered every 6 to 9 months.

No. Results last up to 9 months, however, it is a safe, quick, and effective method for managing symptoms where over-the-counter remedies have failed.

Maintenance treatments are usually required every 6-9 months.

The treatment involves multiple injections of a synthesised version of deoxycholic acid that can emulsify fat cells. This substance is already naturally occurring in our bodies digestive system, were it helps to break down dietary fat.

Most people will need a minimum of 2 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart, some may require up to 6 treatments.

The solution injected below the skin can feel quite hot or moderately uncomfortable. We apply a topical numbing cream as well as the use of ice packs, to increase patient comfort. Most discomfort passes before you leave the clinic.

The actual treatment time only takes about 10-15mins, however your appointment will be 1 hour to allow time for consultation with our Registered Nurses, application of numbing cream, before and after photos and treatment.

There may be swelling, heat and redness in the treated area, however you can return to work the next day. The more swelling the better initially, as this inflammation will trigger collagen production, which also helps the skin to tighten and retract. It is recommended to not have the procedure within 2-3 weeks of any important event, as bruising may occur. Avoid strenuous activity for a few days following treatment, to reduce the chances of further swelling and bruising.

Results will be visible after 4-6 weeks and will improve more with each treatment.

Liposuction is a surgical option to remove double chin fat, the recovery for surgery is longer and carries other risks, as well as being quite obvious (your chin needs to be strapped up!). Our chin sculpting treatment is a walk in, walk out procedure with minimal recovery time.

The fat cells targeted at each treatment will be permanently destroyed. Results will be maintained, as long as there are no significant lifestyle or health changes.

It went through years of clinical trials and has been approved by TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration in Australia) and FDA (in USA) for use on submental fat (double chin).

Teeth whitening treatments are designed to bring your teeth back to its natural colour. Lifestyle factors such as coffee, foods, smoking and alcohol may vary results of the treatment.

Yes! Our teeth whitening system is a non-invasive treatment that uses a cool LED light. This means no harmful UV light is used during treatment. The gel applied to the teeth is classed as food grade ensuring that there are no dangers if the product is unintentionally swallowed or ingested. Studies over the last 10 years have classified teeth whitening as a safe and effective treatment with minimal sensitivity providing you have no intolerance to hydrogen peroxide.

Teeth whitening treatments can be performed however there is a risk of slight variances with colour shades and outcome of treatment. This is because the surface of the veneers differ from the natural tooth. Slight variances should even themselves out within 24-48 hrs.

There isn’t any preparation needed before treatment however a regular dentist check is recommended before treatment to ensure their is no build up of tartar and to check your dental health.

Following your first treatment, you will instantly see a brighter and whiter smile! In saying this, results do vary from one person to another. Following your first treatment your teeth may go 1-2 shades lighter however for optimal results we recommend a course of 3 treatments.

Generally we advise a series of three treatments to ensure optimal results. We recommend you maintain your results every 3 months to ensure that they hold the whiter and brighter smile!

Teeth whitening is a painless, non-invasive treatment. On occasion, you may feel slight sensitivity to the gel however this is very rare. Your teeth may have slight sensitivity when eating or drinking hot and cold products, however this usually is only a short-term effect.

While there is no clinical evidence that teeth whitening treatments counteract with any particular injectables, it is important to let your skin therapist know if you have had an injectables treatment, or are planning on having one done in the near future. Your skin therapist will be able to advise you on when to schedule your treatment appropriately.
