Microneedling Results

After your Microneedling treatment, the skin immediately begins working to repair the micro-injuries made within the layers of the skin.

Results begin to appear as little as 2 weeks after your first treatment, and will continue to improve over the course of your future treatments.

Results also depend on the depth of the needles, and the level of pressure applied – both of these factors are unique to each client and will be customised to fit your skin concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Microneedling work?

The concept of microneedling is based on the skins natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions.

Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin, the body reuses the damaged collagen and elastin fibres as well as other damaged skin components to produce new ones.

Microneedling allows for controlled induction of the skins self repair mechanism by creating micro-injuries in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin!

How many treatments do I need?

For best results you will need a course of 6 treatments, 2-6 weeks apart.

Is it painful?

Depending on the depth of the needle, there are different levels of penetration resulting in different sensations.

For most people, the SkinPen isn’t considered painful at all, while some clients may experience some slight discomfort.
