Preparation

Stay out of the sun or solariums for at least 1 to 2 weeks before your treatment,
and use 30+ sunscreen, applied hourly while you are exposed.
Sunburn before and after will increase the risk of complications or side effects such as
hyperpigmentation and scabbing.
Do not use Retin A (Vitamin A products) for 2 weeks prior to treatment or 5-7 days after treatment.
Do not use Reaccutane for 6 months prior to treatment.

Aftercare

You may shower afterwards using lukewarm water, but avoid hot showers/baths until the skin
returns to its normal condition. For the face, wash the treated area gently
with a cleanser followed by a serum recommended by your therapist and pat dry (do not rub).
For the body, wash the treated area gently with water.
Redness is common 1 to 2 days after treatment. This is a natural response, it may last longer
but usually disappears within a few hours. Regular application of a serum recommended by your
therapist will improve recovery time.
If applying makeup, mineral makeup is recommended to avoid further inflammation.
Until the redness has completely subsided, avoid performing activities that
cause excessive perspiration until the area has healed.
Avoid swimming pools and spas treated with chemicals or chlorine until the skin returns
to its normal condition.
Avoid excessive alcohol intake.
Do not use a solarium or sun tan between treatments.
In the unusual case of crusting, swelling of the skin, apply soothing gel.
However, please advise us immediately. Do not pick at these areas, as this may result in infection.
In the rare case of an infection occurring, the recommended treatment is
generally a course of antibiotics and you should see your local doctor to obtain advice
and a prescription.
Only use unscented creams or lotions whilst the area is sensitive.
